The Frederick A. Coller Surgical Society
Annual Meeting

Napa, California
October 20-23, 2011

A Letter from the Coller Society Planning Committee

Dear Fellow Members, Significant Others, and Guests,

It's our great pleasure to officially welcome you all to the 2011 Meeting of the Frederick A. Coller Surgical Society at the legendary Silverado Resort and Spa in the spectacular Napa Valley.

If you haven't yet made your reservations, make them - NOW!! It's gonna be one terrific meeting - better than our usual terrific meetings - if you don't count a trip to the Big House.

The weather will be great. The dress will be resort casual; but you will need to spruce up for the dinner dance, Saturday evening. Our Welcoming Reception, Thursday evening, will be outside, in The Grove for cocktails and hors d' oeuvres. (Thank g-d for spell check) Could be cool so bring a sweater.

Friday afternoon, everyone will participate in a wonderful Wine Tour put together by Chris Thorpe. Casual dress and comfortable shoes. Dinner is open for those still hungry after the gourmet box lunch from the tour and the continental breakfast before the morning meeting. Many of you already have a favorite Napa Valley restaurant; but for the others - Linda has attached a carefully researched list developed with much effort (and expense on my part). You can also check with the Silverado Concierge.

Also Friday morning, before Tom Wakefield's Presidential Address, our own John Molidor will give one of his terrific sessions for our guests. This one concerns personality analysis. These have always been so good that some of our (more needy) members sneak out of the scientific session.

Saturday will begin with another continental breakfast and scientific session. Golf will T-off at 1300. Silverado's courses are legendary. The green fee for us is only $160; and club rental, if needed, is $60 including balls and a pouch of necessities to take home. Tennis and spa are on your own.

Also Saturday afternoon, we have arranged a group tour of the spectacular di Rosa Museum and Preserve for thirty of us - the max number di Rosa can handle. This will be a wonderful and unique experience. The tour will start at the Silverado and include a delicious box lunch. Again, this tour is optional and can only accommodate 30, so please make your reservation early.

Saturday Evening will be cocktails and our banquet. Linda has found a fabulous band and any children are invited into the ballroom for the after-dinner entertainment.

Our meeting ends Sunday Morning with the traditional Farewell Brunch.

If you're not renting a car, transportation from the major airports can be arranged through Royal Coach (800-995-7692). Once you're at Silverado other shuttles are available as required.

What else do you need? Contact me: LADanto@mac.com

We can't wait to see you all!
